Independently researched and evaluated, RISE training is evidence-informed and has been shown to significantly improve participant knowledge and understanding of LGBTQ+ relevant concepts and best practices. Course offerings are updated regularly. Custom trainings, workshops, technical assistance, coaching, consultation, and speaking engagements provided on a case-by-case basis.
Training for Families & Caregivers
RISE takes pride in training English and monolingual-Spanish speaking parents, caregivers, and families of LGBTQ+ youth.
Training for Professionals
Menu of 30+ unique trainings and workshops designed to prepare professionals serving LGBTQ+ clients, including: social workers, clinicians, healthcare providers, probation officers, homeless services providers, and many more. Custom sessions available.
Train the Trainer Program
Equipping public and private agency trainers/content-area “holders” with the tools to deliver the RISE evidence-informed curriculum.
Youth Mental Health First Aid Training
Youth Mental Health First Aid is designed to teach parents, family members, caregivers, teachers, school staff, peers, neighbors, health and human services workers, and other caring citizens how to help an adolescent (age 12-18) who is experiencing a mental health or addictions challenge or is in crisis.
Consultation
The RISE Program offers consultation and technical assistance to public and private agencies looking to implement best practices for serving LGBTQ+ youth in systems of care.
Coaching Services
RISE provides in-house and off-site coaching to trained professionals seeking to enhance their practice behaviors and knowledge base.
